D-Link 650+ AirPlus: Special Antenna Settings

The D-Link DWL-650+ (and perhaps other D-Link adapters) require a special antenna configuration in order to connect to HotSpotzz.

First, open the Control Panel by clicking Start then Control Panel.  In the Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connection (or double-click Network Connections if in Classic View) then click on Network Connections (not applicable if in Classic View).

Second, right-click the Wireless Connection icon and click on Properties to open the following window.

Click on the Configure button located below the description of the WLAN adapter. Proceed to the <next> step.

Click on the Advanced tab and select the Antenna RX option.  Set the Antenna RX value to Both.  Proceed to the <next> step.

Then select the Antenna TX option and set the value to Antenna 1.  Then click Okay on this window and click Okay or Close on the previous window (Wireless Network Connection Properties).  Proceed to the <next> step.

After the antenna values have been changed, the computer will automatically disconnect and reconnect to HotSpotzz.
