HOTSPOTZZ SPORTS FREE WIRELESS INTERNET AT MPC COMPUTERS BOWL
Date: December 27, 2004
For Release: IMMEDIATE

Salt Lake City - December 27, 2004 – HOTSPOTZZ, one of the nation’s largest private providers of wireless hot spots, will offer free wireless Internet access at the MPC Computers Bowl, a major college football bowl game held on December 27th in Boise, Idaho. HOTSPOTZZ has "unwired" Boise’s Bronco Stadium with free Wi-Fi Internet access throughout the seating areas and corporate tent village.

Using HOTSPOTZZ Wi-Fi technology, MPC Bowl attendees will be able to experience ESPN’s enhanced web coverage of the game as well as view real-time game statistics reported from the press box. News reporters can also log on to the HOTSPOTZZ network to chart game statistics and send photos, stories and video footage back to their newsrooms. Fans can view the live stats using the official MPC Computers Bowl tool located at: http://live.mpccomputersbowl.com/topview.htm

Wi-Fi uses radio waves that allow attendees with wireless-enabled laptops or handheld devices to access the Internet from the stadium. Wi-Fi "hot spots" utilize wireless technology known as 802.11b and are becoming standard in public places such as coffee shops, airports, hotels and coffee shops. Wi-Fi access is now gaining popularity at sporting arenas and events across the country.

"Wi-Fi is all about enhancing the fan experience with relevant information," said Henry Smith, HOTSPOTZZ CEO. "We want to give fans and reporters the opportunity to stay connected during the game. HOTSPOTZZ technology lets attendees view real-time stats, watch the gamecast, and get a better statistical viewpoint of the game."

MPC Computers designed an elaborate Technology Pavilion at the stadium, providing Pavilion guests with an opportunity to learn about the newest innovations in personal computing and HOTSPOTZZ high-speed wireless Internet. Guests will be able to personally experience this technology through interactive, hands-on demos. The Technology Pavilion will be open from 10:00am – 4:00pm on December 27th, as part of the corporate tent village associated with the MPC Computers Bowl.

HOTSPOTZZ owns 215+ wireless-enabled locations in 36 states including event centers, campgrounds, cafés, hotels, business centers, national and regional retail chains, and restaurants.
