HOTSPOTZZ uses the FCC approved open standard 802.11b wireless protocol, called Wi-Fi (short for Wireless Fidelity). The 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi radio signal can be picked up by any 802.11b compatible wireless network card up to 300 feet away from the HOTSPOTZZ transmitter. Simply configure your laptop for the wireless network, open your Internet Explore or Netscape browser and sign on to HOTSPOTZZ network by typing in your HOTSPOTZZ user ID and password.

Your computer's wireless network card captures the HOTSPOTZZ wireless signal and translates it into a speedy Internet connection. It's like having a high-speed cable connected to your computer wherever you're sitting.
